Welcome to

RESORT TOWN LIFE

The Mount Washington Valley is the number one tourist destination for folks traveling to the state of New Hampshire. A truly four season resort area it encompasses 25 towns across two states from Jackson, NH to Fryeburg Maine, and Ossipee to Gorham between Crawford and Pinkham Notches. Boasting 6 alpine and 7 cross country ski areas the region includes thousands of acres of hiking, snowmobile and mountain bike trails, lakes and rivers for boating, canoeing, kayaking and fishing, golf courses, resort hotels and in town inns and of course hundreds of tax free shops in North Conway Village.

Not as widely known are the many award-winning restaurants, local pubs, and festivals and special events that attract so many people to the area. Storyland is a big draw for the kids and there are area museums, waterfalls, historic covered bridges and oh so much to do you will never be bored!

The fall brings the Fryeburg Fair, the second largest in New England, gorgeous Fall Foliage and the start of the iconic winter season the area is best known for. From King Pine at the Southern end to Cranmore, Attitash, Wildcat, Bretton Woods and Black Mountains as you head further north, skiers have a choice of terrain and extraordinary views to enjoy while skiing.

Mount Washington, the highest peak in the Northeast U.S. at 6,288 feet is best known in the summer for trips up the Auto Road to the summit, where the highest wind speed on earth was recorded and stood as a record for over 60 years. This storied history extends to winter and spring as the mountain is a magnet for ice climbers and backcountry skiers who hike up to ski the iconic headwall. Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall, the Mount Washington Valley is always a draw for folks who want to return to nature while enjoying the luxury of good food, great company and a sense of freedom and friendship hard to replicate in other areas of the country.
