Conway, NH The Town of Conway is actually made up of several formal and informal Villages: Conway, Center Conway, East Conway, Intervale, Kearsarge, North Conway, Redstone and South Conway. North Conway is so big and so well known that it is viewed by out-of-state residents as a stand alone entity. Rarely does anyone ask me for a property in Conway although many Buyers end up purchasing there when they get to know the area. Folks who want to be near the heart of the action are looking to be in North Conway Village or nearby.

Fryeburg, Maine. Just over the border you find a town that has kept much of its rural character. It has beautiful farmland, one of the most popular beaches on the Saco River, and is home to the second largest fair in New England, the Fryeburg Fair. It is also one of the few communities in the region that has its elementary, middle school and high school within a 1 mile radius. The Fryeburg Academy, founded in 1792 is an independent, private school with a beautiful campus setting that pulls the local kids in Fryeburg and the surrounding communities in Maine, tuition free. Local kids who attend the Academy take classes with students from around the world who stay in on campus dorms. The Oxford House Inn in the center of town was voted the top restaurant in New England by Open Table and the best in town Inn by Yankee Magazine. The downtown area includes a coffeeshop, hair salon, health care providers, an organic market and several other dining establishments and taverns. Weston's and Sherman Farms are both in walking distance from the center of town and feature fresh produce and farm stores popular with locals and tourists alike. The Mountain Division Trail is a 4 mile popular biking and walking trail that is envisioned to one day extend over 50 miles from Fryeburg to Portland, Maine. Jockey Cap is a great, short and easy hike suitable for pets and has a wonderful 360 degree view of the area.

Hale's Location, NH. Hale's Location is a luxury golf community located at the base of the 800 foot White Horse Ledge, one of the most popular rock climbing destinations in the area. It is one of several unincorporated townships in New Hampshire and the luxury homes there bear the distinction of being in the lowest tax community in one of the lowest tax states in the nation. Jackson, NH. When you think luxury homes and condos, Jackson, NH, the next town over from Bartlett comes first and foremost to mind. Some of the most beautiful homes in the area are located in this community that also enjoys incredible views from many property locations. It is the closest town to Wildcat Ski Area, a favorite for skiing purists and folks who enjoy spring skiing, and is also home to Black Mountain, a small, family friendly mountain in the heart of the community. The Mount Washington Auto Road is located a short distance away if you are game to make the drive up Mount Washington. Jackson Ski Touring is a favorite of cross country skiers across the region and the town has one of the most famous and most photographed covered bridges in all of New England.

Madison, NH - Just south of Conway, NH. Madison is a popular community for folks who are looking for a seasonal vacation home in the summer months, as well as affordable year round living. Eidelweiss is one of the larger communities in Madison where residents have access to 5 community beaches and recreational areas. A frames, camp and cottage living and chalets are a common property type here and many homes pass down through generations. It is also a very popular community for seasonal renters who return year-after-year. Silver Lake is another beautiful part of Madison with many historic homes giving character to the community.

North Conway, NH - North Conway is the most well known of all the Villages in Conway. It is the heart of the action for the whole region. Over 200 tax free stores are located along the strip included over 60 in one location at Setter's Green Outlet Village. North Conway Village includes the famous Zeb's Country Store with more than 5000 New England made items, along with the Conway Scenic Railway, coffee shops, restaurants, bars and independently owned stores. Schouler Park plays host to many local events and the area's only PGA sanctioned 18 hole golf course, the North Conway Country Club, is also located here. Cranmore Mountain Ski Area is visible from the center of town and lit up during the ski season. It is incredibly popular with families and is renown for its ski education programs. Hundreds of local residents participate in a race league there each year in the winter and in the summer months they play host to an aerial adventure center as well as Arts Jubilee, a summer concert series.
